The two problems I had with 'Jazz Cats' were its ridiculous price and its almost equally ridiculous frame. 'Jazz Cats', like most of the bigger paintings in Sims 4 catalog, has this lavish rococo-style frame. Which looks kind of odd around a cartoony picture of, well, cats playing jazz. Perhaps that's exactly the joke. But while making recolors of 'Jazz Cats' I felt like doing something about this. So I edited the frame too, making it simpler and suitable for more interior styles. The picture itself I replaced with four wonderful pieces by women artists.
The paintings used (from left to right in the first image):
Tamara de Lempicka - In The Middle Of Summer
Georgia O'Keeffe - Pink Tulip
Violet Oakley - Quita Woodward
Séraphine de Senlis - Bunches of Grapes
There are two separate objects - one for female portraits, one for the floral paintings - with seven swatches each. You can see how swatches correspond to the paintings in the images below (click to enlarge). Some paintings have less frame options, that's because I felt certain frame colors just don't go well with the particular painting.
In game you can find this recolor with other paintings. It costs 1000 simoleons.
